The GRIDA conference will be held on Parliament Hill at the Government Conference Centre located at 2 Rideau Street in Ottawa (Ontario). Room GCC is located in the basement of the building.
The building is located at the intersection of Wellington Street and the Rideau Canal, just a short distance from the Parliament buildings.
The Government Conference Centre was originally built in 1909 as Ottawa Union Station. With the removal of the railway lines from the city centre in the 1960s, the building was left vacant and then converted to a Conference Centre by the Government of Canada. As the Government Conference Centre, it has been the site of numerous political and cultural discussions and negotiations, including discussions on the repatriation of Canada's Constitution.
Reception and on-site registration will take place the day of the conference, in the building lobby. The registration desk will be open from 8:15 a.m.
The Government Conference Centre is located on the right side of the map.
